Content Approval
After generating content from trends, your drafts appear in the Drafted Content tab within the Observatory. This is where you review, edit, refine, and publish your content before it goes live.
How to access
Open Observatory in the sidebar, then click the Drafted Content tab. Drafts from trend discovery and automated workflows appear here automatically. You can also write a draft manually from this tab — see below.
Create a post manually
Click + Create a post at the top right of the Drafted Content tab to author a draft yourself instead of generating one from a trend. A two-step dialog opens:
- Step 1 — Pick platforms. Only platforms the synfluencer is connected to are shown. Set a short title for the draft (so you can find it again in the list).
- Step 2 — Per-platform editor. Each selected platform gets its own tab with a caption textarea and a live character counter that respects platform limits (X 280, Bluesky 300, Threads 500, others 2,200-5,000). On X / Bluesky / Threads, putting
---on its own line splits the post into a thread; the editor surfaces a Thread detected — N posts pill so you can verify the split before saving. - #Tags tab — Click Generate tags from content to read what you typed and return ranked hashtag suggestions (a number next to each tag is its rank). Toggle the tags you want; selected tags apply to every platform on save.
- Create content — Saves the draft, runs a synchronous QC audit on your content, and lands a normal Drafted Content card in the list with a real quality score. From there you have the usual actions: edit, regenerate-with-tags, increase quality, schedule, publish.
The dialog deliberately omits Regenerate and Increase Quality buttons — you author the content here, then use those actions on the saved card if you want the AI to refine it. Regenerate and Increase Quality on a manual card read your typed content as the source of truth and follow any HTTP links you included to fetch their context (so the rewrite has the full picture, not just your caption text).
Filtering and search
The Drafted Content tab includes a search bar and two rows of filters to help you find specific content quickly.
- Status filters — All, Needs Review, Drafted, Scheduled, Posted, Rejected, Archived. Click a filter to show only content in that state.
- Content type filters — All Types, Short Video, Long Video, Image, Text. Narrow results by the format of the content.
- Search — Type in the search bar to find content by title or keywords.
Content cards
Each content card shows the number of target platforms, the title, creation date, freshness indicator, quality score, and current status. Click View Content to expand the full details and editing interface.
Key features
- Platform toggles — Select which connected platforms this content will be published to. Each platform gets its own caption, hashtags, and media tailored to that channel.
- Per-platform editing — Edit captions, scripts, and hashtags independently for each target platform using the platform tabs. Hashtags render as clickable toggle pills ranked by engagement potential (🔥 high / 📈 medium / ─ low / — unknown), with the top N auto-selected per platform (X: 2, Bluesky: 3, Instagram: 10, etc.). Toggling a tag edits the caption in-place — the post you publish looks exactly like the preview. The same toggle grid appears in the Drafted Content card's
#Tagstab, with one section per connected platform. - Regenerate with tags — Optional AI pass that rewrites the caption to weave your selected tags naturally into the prose. Runs as a background task — feel free to navigate away while it works. When ready, a side-by-side before/after dialog opens with quality scores so you can Accept or Revert. Accepting saves immediately so the caption you see is the one that publishes. Costs ~$0.002 per click.
- Media management — Select, swap, generate, or upload your own photos for each content piece. Uploaded photos are saved to the Vault under Uploaded Photos for re-use across drafts (JPEG / PNG / GIF / WEBP up to 20 MB; per-platform caps apply at publish). Clear platform media to use text-only posts.
- Regenerate content — Re-run the content generation pipeline on a piece to get a fresh draft with updated captions, hashtags, and formatting.
- Increase quality — Runs a convergence loop that rewrites content up to 3 times, feeding each attempt's QC issues back into the next prompt, keeping the best-scoring result (never worse than where you started). Targets a quality score of 70+. If a platform can't cross the threshold after 3 attempts, the task message names it so you know where to edit manually.
- Save edits — Save your changes to captions, hashtags, and scripts without publishing.
- Quality score — Each content piece displays a quality score from the QC Audit agent, helping you prioritise what needs attention.
- Generate video — Create a video directly from a draft without leaving the page.
- Publish — Publish content directly to your selected platforms. A preview dialog confirms exactly what will be posted. Publishing runs as a background task in Task Manager — if a publish gets stuck (e.g. Upload-Post is slow on a particular platform), the task card surfaces a Cancel publish action that deletes the in-flight Upload-Post job and resets the content card so you can re-click Publish cleanly. Task Manager also auto-dismisses recently-finished tasks a few seconds after the last in-progress task completes — no manual refresh needed.
- Archive and delete — Archive content you want to keep but not publish, or delete it entirely.
- Multi-select — Select multiple content cards using the checkboxes to perform bulk actions like deleting selected items.
Step-by-step
- Go to Observatory and click the Drafted Content tab.
- Use the status and type filters to find content, or search by keyword.
- Click View Content on a card to expand its details.
- Toggle the target platforms you want this content published to.
- Review and edit the caption, hashtags, and media for each platform using the platform tabs.
- Optionally click Regenerate Content for a fresh draft or Increase Quality to refine the output.
- Click Save Edits to save your changes.
- When ready, click Publish to send content to your platforms, or generate a video first.
Regenerate and Improve
When you click Regenerate or Improve on a content card, a dialog lets you pick:
- An intent (Auto / Explain / Hot take / Contrarian / Narrative / Riff) — this shapes how the new draft reads. A description shows under the dropdown so you know what each value does. See Observatory → “Choosing an intent” for details on each value.
- Which platform tabs to regenerate — you can refresh just the X caption without touching the blog, or improve everything at once.
Hashtags
Generated hashtags appear in the Hashtags tab of each content item as a reference list. They are not added to posts automatically at publish time. If you want hashtags included in a post, copy them from the reference list into the caption before publishing. The Post Draft automation agent follows the same rule.
